The European Wergeland Centre (EWC)

About us

The European Wergeland Centre (EWC) is a resource centre on education for intercultural understanding, human rights and democratic citizenship. Our mission is to strengthen the capacity of young learners, educators, educational institutions, and educational systems to build and defend a culture of democracy and human rights.  We are governed by a board appointed by the Norwegian Minister of Education upon nomination from the Council of Europe and Norway.
