Nadja Brandt is a Berlin-based project manager and award-winning media producer with over six years of experience in the documentary and cultural content space.
Currently, she leads transnational youth engagement initiatives as a Project Manager at the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe, focusing on fundamental rights through the European Youth Parliament.
Previously, Nadja held senior production roles at notable German media companies where she led numerous acclaimed projects, including award-winning documentary formats, primarily aimed at young audiences. Her expertise lies in developing content with a strong educational and societal focus. Her background in Cultural Studies, combined with her passion for social impact and storytelling, continues to inform her work across film, youth engagement, and European discourse.
Magdaléna Benešová, director of the “Paměť národa” High School.
Magdaléna studied teaching (English and social sciences) at Charles University in Prague. She has been devoted to teaching and education as a teacher, lecturer, trainer, and methodologist for more than 20 years. Since 2011, she has collaborated with the Post Bellum organization, where she created the concept of the educational agenda and led the educational department. The projects aim at strengthening the democratic education at schools.
She came up with the idea of establishing Gymnázium Paměti národa – “the Memory of Nations High School”, was instrumental in its launch, and served as a liaison to the founder – the nonprofit organization Post Bellum. She currently serves as the director of the school.
Guido van Hengel (PhD) is a writer, historian, editor and lecturer, based in The Hague (the Netherlands).
He taught cultural history and European politics at the universities of Groningen and The Hague, and is currently chief-editor of the bi-monthly Dutch Review of Books, and editor for Drawing the Times – a platform for non-fiction comics.
For more than twenty years, Guido has been actively involved in European arts and culture scenes. He initiated and coordinated a number of exchange projects for young artists, mostly in Central and Eastern Europe, and predominantly in the field of comics, illustration, visual storytelling and animation.
His current fields of interests are in streetscapes and human-animal relations. His latest book (The Pack, 2021) was about stray dogs, and how they live and die in urban environments of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Eva is a Slovenian filmmaker based in Brussels and a graduate of the MA in Film Directing and Writing at LUCA School of Arts.
With an interdisciplinary background in social and political sciences, she merges creativity with social and environmental impact. She focuses on human experiences and underrepresented perspectives within systemic challenges such as climate change, environmental issues, and futures thinking.
Her first fiction short, a climate fiction film exploring emotions and relationships amid the climate crisis, builds on her earlier documentary work and reflects her dedication to exploring the space between the personal and the systemic.
Having participated in diverse international projects, she is passionate about connecting with real-world narratives in present and future contexts in both fiction and documentary formats, using film to inspire new perspectives and reflection in audiences.
José Raúl Celda is a strategic and purpose-driven lawyer with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and a deep commitment to justice and human rights.
Throughout his career, he has led key international projects, including global cultural initiatives, and has built strong relationships with stakeholders across the public and private sectors, as well as with NGOs. His work has taken him to countries such as the United States, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Senegal, and Mozambique, allowing him to develop a strong ability to communicate and negotiate in multicultural environments.
Raúl has extensive experience in the development and nonprofit sectors, having managed and distributed grants across Africa, Asia, and Latin America through the Foundation for Justice, based in Valencia, Spain. His passion for social impact has driven him to design and implement a wide range of educational and cultural programs aimed at raising awareness of social issues and fostering cooperation between Spain and countries such as Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Senegal, Mozambique, Benin, Bangladesh, India, Paraguay, El Salvador, and Brazil.
Currently, he serves as Programme Manager for Europe and the MENA region at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on legal empowerment, media freedom, and human rights. He is also the founder and President of Fundación Española por los Derechos Humanos, a family foundation dedicated to advancing human rights through education, civic engagement, and international cooperation.
Seydu is a vocalist, songwriter, percussionist and luthier, was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in a family of musicians.
He grew up listening to the songs of his mother, mix Fullah and Mandingo, and assimilating the rhythms that his grandfather played on the drums, experiences that have marked his musical identity.
From an early age Seydu was an integrant of the » Sierraleonean National Dance Troupe «, founded by his grandfather. With this troupe he traveled to Nigeria where he lived in the commune of Fela Kuti. At the age of 20 he moved to Spain, where he studied music and formed different bands of jazz, afro, latin, reggae, etc
He played with great artists like Stevie Wonder, Alejandro Sanz, Kiko Veneno, Auserón Santiago, Miguel Bosé, Rosario Flores, Ketama, Serrat, Kepa Junkera, Youssou N’Dour, Lokua kanza, etc.
Seydu founded the NGO «Diamond Child School of arts & culture» in 2005 to provide an opportunity for disadvantaged children and youth in his country.
