In September 2025, the YOUROPE project was represented at the 10th Agora Summer School in Brussels, organised by the European Women’s Lobby. The annual programme brought together 40 young feminists from across Europe for five days of exchange, skill-building, and collective action.

Patricie Kyslíková from the University of South Bohemia was selected as a participant and invited to present the YOUROPE project and introduce the Community-Led Research and Action (CLRA) methodology. Together with Effie Kotsiopoulou from Greece, she co-facilitated a practical workshop applying CLRA to the theme of fostering sisterhood among women. The session also drew on Patricie’s own CLRA research with young women on feminism, grounding the methodology in lived experience rather than theory alone.

CLRA in practice

Participants worked through all five stages of the CLRA method, experiencing firsthand how it supports the co-creation of knowledge and brings together people with diverse perspectives. Many described the process as powerful and immersive, opening up new participatory and creative approaches to collective reflection and research.

Among them was Dina Chaerani, a young woman from Indonesia living in the Netherlands, who took part in Patricie’s workshop. “It was amazing,” she said. “This does not feel like a workshop or a session. Usually a session can be boring, but it was super interactive. And you can always implement this in different contexts, different situations, with different age groups.” Her response reflects what CLRA aims to do at its best: create a process that feels genuinely engaging, and that participants can imagine carrying forward into their own communities and work.
