Introduction
hat does democracy mean to you? What does it feel like to live through inequality, climate anxiety, or injustice? And what does it look like to push back?
In a more interconnected world than ever before, challenges such as democracy, poverty, inequality, women’s rights, ageing, modern slavery, and the environment belong to all of us.
Fundación Española por los Derechos Humanos and YOUROPE Project partners to launch a Short Film Competition on Democracy and Human Rights open to young people across Europe and beyond. You don’t need to be a filmmaker. You don’t need fancy equipment or a film school degree. You just need a story worth telling and the courage to tell it.
Together with citizens, media, NGOs, universities, and grassroots organisations, we’re building a showcase of real voices and real stories, united by a belief that art can shift how society sees and talks about the issues that matter most.
